QJot is a small and complete text editor with powerful capabilities, that was designed to be a replacement of WordPad. QJot is a portable application that does not require installation, and you can run it from a USB drive.
In QJot you will have all the essential features you usually find in MS Word, or other powerful text processing programs. To begin with, it supports natively RTF, but it can open and save files into .DOC, .TXT, .HTML, and even in .WPS format, used by OpenOffice’s word processor. QJot includes the most basic operations, such as cut/copy and paste, undo/redo, find/replace, and also some extra functions, among which we can mention the word count feature, and the word searcher. There is also a very handy option that allows you to search on Google for any word in a text simply by selecting it and clicking a button. Besides, it uses rich text; we can use different colors, change the background color, highlight words or sentences, and change the fonts.
